This course was made possible by the support of Spring 2022 Computation & Construction Lab staff, particularly Dai Le, Yanjiu Bai, and Paavan Joshi. Clay mixing, firing, and glazing were made possible by the generous support of Ingrid Lilligren, Professor of Art & Visual Culture and graduate student Jasmine Beul as a part of an ongoing collaboration with the Ceramics Studio at the College of Design. Thank you also to Boyd Lab for working with us to fabricate the parts necessary for the robotic work. The work shown here was produced in the Computation & Construction Lab (CCL), an initiative of the Department of Architecture, located in the Communications Building, that works to connect developments in computation to the challenges of construction through teaching, research, publication, and exhibition. A primary tenet of this work is the democratization of access to and knowledge about technology in architecture, specifically creating opportunities for our students to learn and create with technology.
