This was an invited residency at the Haystack Fab Lab founded by the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms coupled with a collaboration where Nathan King, RJ Weaver and I collaborated with well-known artist Timea Tihanyi on a workshop entitled “Material-Human-Machine: Experimental Possibilities in Clay “ 3D Printing” where students were afforded access to both 3-axis and 6-axis robotic printing tools. The ABB robots were loaned by the Virginia Tech Center for Design Research. Porcelain was the primary clay body.
