Limkokwing University, Phnom Penh

2nd Year, Architecture Studio Instructor, Fall 2011

In November 2011 I inherited this studio and nineteen students from an instructor who could no longer teach the course. Students were required to post their work to a studio blog.

"Each student will design a house for a client whom they consider a superhero. During the first phase of the project: students will research their superhero client, write a program and architectural brief for that client, conduct site analysis in Phnom Penh, collect relevant housing precedents, develop a design philosophy and write a project thesis statement. During the second phase of the project: students will draw plans and sections, and build digital and physical models of their proposed design concept for their superhero client. This work will culminate in interior and exterior renderings which will be presented at the final critique."

A few examples of student work below. More on the studio blog.
